[zu griechisch strõma »Streu«, »Lager«, »Decke« und ánthos »Blume«, »Blüte«], Gattung der Marantengewächse mit etwa zehn Arten im tropischen Südamerika; Stauden mit großen, länglich eiförmigen oder lanzettlichen, bunten Blättern und großen Blütenständen mit lebhaft gefärbten Tragblättern. Zwei Arten sind Zierpflanzen für das Warmhaus.
